NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – MARCH 3, 2025
CONSIDERATION OF A MORATORIUM ON SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR SOLAR FARMS
Notice of hereby given, as per General Statutes §§ 160D-107 and 160D-601, that the Greene County Board of Commissioners will conduct a legislative hearing on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room Greene County Emergency Operations Center, 312 SE Second Street, Snow Hill, NC 28580, to consider a proposed 24-month moratorium on the acceptance or processing of special use permit applications for solar farms in Greene County, as set forth by the Greene County Zoning Ordinance, pending consideration of amendments to such ordinance. The purpose of such public hearing is to solicit public comment on the proposed moratorium.
