Board Appointment Need: Greene County Vacancy on Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board

The Greene County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill an unexpired term on the Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board (WDB). This seat represents Greene County and the term runs through June 30, 2028.

The WDB is a non-profit board that works in partnership with local elected officials to guide workforce development efforts across the region. The board helps connect job seekers with training and employment opportunities while supporting the talent needs of local employers.

There are 25 local workforce development boards in North Carolina, representing all 100 counties. Each board includes members from business and industry, education, public agencies, community organizations, and economic development.

This appointment is preferred to go to someone with private business experience. Applicants must have policy-making authority within their organization.
