PUBLIC NOTICE
Greene County is soliciting proposals for the Senior Meal Program to include the months of September 2024-June 2025, with option to renew for the months of July 1st 2025 through June 30th, 2026. Bidders should have some knowledge of the Senior Nutrition Program, which supplies meals to the Senior Center Congregate Meal Site and Home Delivered Meals Participants. Details are included in the Bid Packet including a sample menu, and a copy of the State Nutrition Standards for the Senior Meal Program. Bidders must have staff and adequate transportation to deliver meals to the Senior Center from their meal preparation site. Meals are served Monday-Friday with the exception of State Holidays.
Bid specifications and requirements are available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Greene County Senior Center, 104 Greenridge Road, Snow Hill, NC 28580, or may be emailed upon request. The Greene County Senior Center Meal Program is a part of Title III Older Americans Act Home and Community Care Block Grant Congregate Nutrition and Home Delivered Meals Nutrition Program.
