News, Senior Center|

Greene County leaders welcomed Don Davis today to mark a significant federal investment supporting the county’s senior population.

During his visit, Congressman Davis presented Greene County with a $1,015,000 federal award through the Community Project Funding program to support the construction of a new Senior Center facility. This funding will play a critical role in helping the county expand services and provide improved space for programs that support the health, wellness, and social engagement of local seniors.

Greene County’s senior population continues to grow, and the current facility has long served as an important hub for meals, activities, wellness programming, and community connection. The planned new Senior Center will help ensure these services can continue in a modern, accessible facility designed to meet the needs of our aging population for years to come.

County officials expressed their appreciation to Congressman Davis for his continued advocacy and support for rural communities across eastern North Carolina. Greene County extends its sincere thanks to Congressman Davis and his team for their partnership and commitment to the people of Greene County.
