Our mission is to enrich the lives of Greene County residents by providing them with safe and welcoming parks and recreation facilities, as well as offering affordable and diverse recreational activities for citizens of all ages to play, learn, and help us continue to build a stronger, healthier community.

What do we offer?

We have a newly built Greene County Wellness Center, which consists of one gymnasium, three batting cages, a stage, an exercise room, two small classrooms, and one large classroom. The Greene County Wellness Center will be the host of recreation basketball games and travel basketball tournaments and many more activities. 

Hours of Operation: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.

We are also the home of the Greene County Sports Complex, which includes 3 baseball fields, football field, soccer field, playground, picnic areas, and walking trails, as well as having 2 larger baseball fields that hosts recreational leagues and activities year-round. Our recreation sports leagues consists of baseball, softball, tee-ball, soccer, basketball, football, flag football, cheerleading, and our newly developed Buddy Ball league for those with disabilities. There are also multiple different camps that the recreation department holds or assists with throughout the year including football, baseball, basketball and softball. Aside from all of our recreation leagues, our facilities also play host to over 25 travel ball tournaments annually.

Rental Fees

• Gym: Free to the public.
• Small Classroom: $25 per hour or $200 per day
• Larger Classroom: $35 per hour or $250 per day
• Stage: $500 per day
• Exercise Room: Free
• Batting Cages: $15 per 30 minutes or $30 per hour
• Travel Ball Teams: $125 per team for three cages at one day a week
